국립 공원

알버타에는 다양한 지역에서 야영을 즐길 수 있는 다섯 군데의 국립공원이 있다. Parks Canada의 온라인 야영장 예약 서비스 서비스를 이용하여 자리를 예약할 수 있고, 야영장 입구 사무실에서 추가 정보를 얻을 수 있다.

• 밴프 국립공원  국립공원에는 Parks Canada에서 운영하는 13개의 야영장이 있다. 밴프와 재스퍼는 유네스코가 지정한 세계유산으로, 자연 그대로의 최대 규모 야영장소가 있다.
  

• 재스퍼 국립공원  밴프보다 규모가 크고 덜 붐비는 곳으로, Parks Canada가 열 곳의 야영장을 운영중이다. 공원 초입의 힌튼에도 수많은 야영 장소가 있다.
  

• 엘크 아일랜드 국립공원 은 에드먼튼의 주요 도시에서 차로 한시간 이내의 거리에 있고 사시나무 보호구역의 Sandy Beach Campground 에서는 밤샘 야영이 가능하다. 유명한 Oster Lake Back Country Tenting Area는 사전 예약이 필수.
  

• 워터튼 레이크 국립공원 국립공원은 야생 그대로의 장소를 찾는 사람에게 완벽한 곳이다. 워터튼 레이크 주변으로 아홉 개의 야영장이 있고 좀 더 문명화된 곳을 원한다면 워터튼 도시지역의 서쪽 끝에 있는 야영장도 있다.
  

• 우드 버팔로 국립공원 국립공원은 스파르타식의 야영을 선호하는 사람에게 딱 맞는 곳이다. (갖춰진 의식주 없이 외진 오지 체험) 알버타의 북쪽 끝에 위치하고, 이 유네스코 세계유산은 스위스보다 크고, 들어가기는 쉽지 않으나 좋은 야영장소를 차지하기 위해 많은 사람들과 경쟁할 필요가 없다는 장점이 있다.
  

주립 공원 & 휴양지

Alberta's Tourism, Parks, Recreation & Culture 는 69개의 주립 공원과 약 250여개의 휴양지에 대한 자세한 정보(위치, 야영장 지도, 예약체계, 요금, 활동, 공원 상태에 대한 최신정보 등)를 제공한다. 말 그대로 여행을 계획하고 준비하는데 필요한 모든 정보가 담겨져 있다.

No matter the season, before you head out, you can always find up to date public safety information including fire bans, flooding, park construction, wildlife issues and avalanche reports.

National Parks

Alberta’s five national parks offer camping experiences in a variety of terrains. Use the Parks Canada online campgrounds reservation service to book your site. Check in with Parks Canada or at park entrance offices for additional campsite information.

• Banff National Park  has 13 campgrounds operated by Parks Canada. Banff and Jasper have the largest selection of rustic backcountry campgrounds in Canada and both parks are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  

• Jasper National Park  is larger and less crowded than Banff. Parks Canada operates 10 campgrounds here. Hinton, the gateway town to the Park, offers numerous nearby campsites.
  

• Elk Island National Park is less than an hour's drive from our capital city of Edmonton. The Sandy Beach Campground in the protected aspen parklands offers overnight camping. The popular Oster Lake Back Country Tenting Area requires bookings well in advance.
  

• Waterton Lakes National Park is perfect if you’re comfortable sharing your space with the indigenous wildlife, there are nine wilderness campgrounds in Waterton Lakes. If you would rather be closer to civilization, there is a campground at the west end of the Waterton townsite.
  

• Wood Buffalo National Park is paradise for those who prefer a  "Spartan" style of camping (austere; remote backcountry endurance over creature comforts). Located in Alberta's far north and spilling into the Northwest Territories, it's a bit tricky to get into, but the fact this UNESCO World Heritage Site is bigger than Switzerland means you won't be fighting the crowds for the perfect campsite.

Alberta's Tourism, Parks and Recreation provides highly detailed information on camping in our 69 provincial parks and almost 250 recreation areas including locations and campground maps, reservation systems and fees, onsite activities and up to date information on park conditions and closures. This site has literally everything you need for trip planning and preparation.

Travel Alberta features a comprehensive listing of camping facilities throughout the province, including those in or near municipal areas like Calgary or Edmonton. You'll find contact information, reservation policies, prices, amenities and activities for more than 600 Alberta campgrounds. If you’re looking for a frontcountry, vehicle accessible campground, start here. All sites listed have met the quality and standards demanded by the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). Look for the AHLA Approved Campground sticker.
