This vibrant town of 4,500 is set in a region of sparkling lakes, cascading rivers, lush valleys and rugged mountain peaks. Located on the edge of Willmore Wilderness Parks, this is Alberta’s largest mountain preserve. Outdoor enthusiast can enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, golfing, horseback riding, canoeing and rafting. The name of the town finds its origins when area when each trapper would make a large "cache" of furs in preparation for spring trading.
