Terms and Conditions

1. The images are the property of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Alberta as represented by the Minister of Tourism Parks Recreation and Culture (the “Minister”) operating “Travel Alberta” with all rights reserved except those expressly given under this agreement.
   
   
2. If you breach any terms or conditions of this license, the Minister will have legal remedies against you. You agree that the use of the images contrary to the terms and conditions of this license will result in irreparable harm to the Minister.
   
   
3. The images are protected by Canadian copyright law, the Trade Marks Act, other laws of Canada respecting intellectual property and international treaty provisions.
   
   
4. Any time you use, or arrange for use of an image in print, credit must be given to Travel Alberta.
   
   
5. Images may only be reproduced for the following purposes:
   
   1. Promotional materials, not intended for retail sales, such as brochures promoting a specific area and/or all of Alberta,
      
   2. Convention and trade show materials, not intended for retail,
      
   3. Articles for newspaper and magazines featuring the province of Alberta,
      
   4. Websites “or broadcasts” promoting Alberta as a vacation destination.
      
      
6. Images cannot be used for non-tourism commercial purposes. For example, the following types of uses are prohibited:
   
   1. Reference materials related to tobacco and alcohol,
      
   2. Retail items or materials intended for sale such as books, calendars, postcards, place-mats, or screen savers, personal or commercial letterhead or promotional materials unrelated to tourism,
      
   3. Materials designed for interior decoration,
      
   4. Packaging or promotion of products intended for sale,
      
   5. Advertising materials to promote non-tourism related business.

Obligations

1. I have read and agree to abide by all Terms and Conditions for all photos on the image page.
   
   
2. I agree to credit Travel Alberta for any photos republished from this collection. Whenever possible, the descriptive captions will accompany the images.
   
   
3. I understand that the images are the property of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Alberta as represented by the Minister of Tourism Parks Recreation and Culture (the “Minister”) operating “Travel Alberta”, who can withdraw borrowing or publishing privileges at any time without notice.
   
   
4. I accept full moral and legal liability if any photo is used inappropriately.
